Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
InterviewPrep (interviewprep.ge and the InterviewPrep app) is run by an individual entrepreneur registered in Georgia ("we"). This policy says what we collect, why, who else receives it and what you can do about it. We are the controller of your personal data under the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, name, a hashed password (we never see or store the password itself), your language, and your photo and name from Google or LinkedIn if you sign in with them.
- What you put in: CVs and cover letters you upload or write, the jobs you track, your goals and preferences, your career profile, your stories and notes.
- Practice: the jobs you prepare for, the questions and your answers in mock interviews (as text; when you answer out loud, your speech is turned into text and only the text is kept), and the feedback and scores.
- Employer features: if you use them, your applications, messages with companies, and what you choose to share with a company. For company accounts: your work email, company details and job postings.
- Payments: which pass you bought, the amount, date and status. Card details go straight to the payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Technical data: sign-in sessions, IP addresses and basic request logs (kept for security and to stop abuse), push-notification tokens for the app, and a few product events such as reaching a Pro-only feature.
- Messages you send us through the Contact page.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies and we don't sell personal data.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for: your account, interview practice, feedback, CV tools, job search and alerts (contract).
- To show your profile, practice results or CV to companies, only after you turn that on or choose to share (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To keep the service secure and fair: sign-in protection, rate limits, preventing fraud and abuse, fixing errors (our legitimate interest).
- To keep payment records as tax and accounting law requires (legal obligation).
- To send you emails you need (confirming your email, password resets, interview reminders) and, if you keep them on, weekly progress and job alerts. You can turn the optional ones off in your profile.
AI
Interview questions, feedback, CV suggestions and similar features are made by AI models from Anthropic. To do that, the text needed for the task (for example the job description, your answer or your CV) is sent to Anthropic. Under its commercial terms Anthropic doesn't use this data to train its models.
AI feedback can be wrong. It's practice, not a judgement of you, and no hiring decision is made automatically on this site.
Who else receives it
To run InterviewPrep we use service providers for hosting, file storage, AI, sending emails, payments, sign-in with Google or LinkedIn, the Georgian voice that reads questions aloud, and app notifications. Each receives only what it needs for its job. Some of them are outside Georgia.
Companies see your information only as described above, when you make it visible or share it. If you joined a group through an organisation's code (for example a university), its coordinator sees who in the group practised and their scores.
We may also disclose data when the law obliges us to.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account (Profile → Account), your data is deleted at once, except payment records, which we keep for as long as tax law requires. Deleted data disappears from our backups within 14 days. Security logs are kept for a short time only. Messages sent through the Contact page are kept until the matter is closed.
Your rights
You can:
- see and download your data (Profile → Account → Export);
- correct it in your profile;
- delete your account and data (Profile → Account → Delete);
- withdraw consent, for example by hiding your profile from companies;
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use your data;
- complain to the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia (personaldata.ge).
For anything you can't do yourself in the app, write to us through the Contact page (topic: Privacy). We answer within 10 working days.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what the site needs to work: a sign-in cookie, a cookie that remembers your language, a short-lived cookie during Google or LinkedIn sign-in, and your browser's local storage for your theme and unsent interview drafts. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as strong one-way hashes, and sign-in sessions as hashes. Access to the servers is limited to us. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
Children
InterviewPrep is for people aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from younger children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date above. For important changes we will let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
